Nutrition Challenge- Day 2

I already wrote about my eats for Day 2, so let's talk WODs. I did end up going into CF. We started off working up to a heavy single for power clean + jerks. My form was off and I was having a lot of trouble making contact with my thighs after my hips were extended (I need to work on keeping the bar closer to my body once it passes my knees). This is one of those form issues I have that I didn't realize existed until I went to Oly class. I tried to fix it all class and I got closer, but still far from perfect. I'm sure I've said this a million times already, but I need to get to Oly class again!

The WOD:

15 reps of 1 power clean + 2 jerks
15 reps of 2 power cleans + 1 jerk

Rx was 83#, but I used 63#. I wanted to really concentrate on from, but it was very inconsistent. Ugh. Once I get consistent contact, I'd love to try this WOD again with a heavier weight. I know I could've handled at least 10 more pounds. I wish I could make it to open gym tonight to work on them, but a couple of the girls from the box are coming over for a little paleo cooking party. I think we're going to make a few different dishes and divy them up to avoid having to eat the same meal every day for a week. It should be fun!

    I have trouble transitioning into the second pull as well. What my coach has me doing are pause cleans--wait a second at mid-hang and make sure you're in good position. Usually for me this means making sure my knees are sucked back and flared out properly with weight in my heels, chest up and tension through my hamstrings. Your chance of keeping the bar in close is significantly lower if your knees are in the way!
