Note: Assignment #2 was updating my spark page.
Part One: List all the reasons you want to lose weight.
I want to improve my health. That's priority. Being overweight decreases the body's ability to absorb vitamin D, puts stress on the heart, puts stress on the wallet in the form of doc visits and meds. That's off the top of my head.
Looking & feeling better is great on my outlook and confidence. When I go to grandson's hs graduation in June my family will see the positive changes in me just in a year. They knew I was working hard at my goals. It is going to be an awesome feeling to show them I had succeeded. My dd is working at goals, too, almost ready to graduate college. We'll be positive proof that persistence and goal setting pay off.
Part 2. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!
I have increased my strength training sessions to every other day. I sometimes come short of this goal. One change I want to make is being consistent in this area.
When I'm slimmer and healthier I will have more endurance. One goal is to be able to enjoy Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This zoo is on a mountain, as the name implies, at over 6,000 feet. That makes it harder to breathe. When the 8 week challenge is over my reward will be to go up there for an entire day.
