A few days ago I posted how I had gained five pounds over less than a week. Last night when I took my socks off, I had HUGE dents in my ankles. I am now 99% positive this most recent gain is, in fact, fluid retention. I'm not sure why I'm suddenly retaining, but at least I have some idea as to what is going on. I have been SO incredibly frustrated with the scale because of this gain.
Plan now is to watch my sodium intake and drink plenty of water.
(To update a bit, I take meds for high blood pressure, including HCTZ. I'm not always as good as I should be about taking my meds, so it's very possible that's contributing to this.)
