I want / need to lose weight for lots of reasons, but here are my top 3:
1. Health - I need to get rid of this weight to be healthy. I am terrible about going to the doctor and lately I feel old and creaky with lots of aches and pains (knees and hips and feet). That is what the extra pounds are causing - so much stress on my joints.
2. Self Esteem: I don't want to be scared to do things anymore. I don't want to wonder if people are making judgements about me based on my weight - I also think it negatively impacts my career. I want to feel good when I look in the mirror or put on a bathing suit. It's time to stop hiding behind the pounds.
3. Role model for my kids. I don't want to sit on the sidelines anymore - I want to show my kids that I am active, healthy and willing to try anything. Living in fear is not living and as my kids get older, I want them to be able to look up to me - not be embarrassed by me.
I could write 1oo more, but these are enough for me to start for sure.
