I want / need to lose weight for lots of reasons, but here are my top 3:

1. Health - I need to get rid of this weight to be healthy. I am terrible about going to the doctor and lately I feel old and creaky with lots of aches and pains (knees and hips and feet). That is what the extra pounds are causing - so much stress on my joints.

2. Self Esteem: I don't want to be scared to do things anymore. I don't want to wonder if people are making judgements about me based on my weight - I also think it negatively impacts my career. I want to feel good when I look in the mirror or put on a bathing suit. It's time to stop hiding behind the pounds.

3. Role model for my kids. I don't want to sit on the sidelines anymore - I want to show my kids that I am active, healthy and willing to try anything. Living in fear is not living and as my kids get older, I want them to be able to look up to me - not be embarrassed by me.

I could write 1oo more, but these are enough for me to start for sure.

    I know how you feel. I can echo those same thoughts...except replace "kids" with "grandkids". emoticon We can do this. We see that we have a need. We know that we are in the right place to get the information and find the tools and motivation for success. We just have to make a plan, put it in to practice and do it! Success is on the horizon.     Great reasons for losing weight! Identifying that you want to be healthy instead of fearful is very insightful. With that knowledge and a good plan, you will reach your goals!
