None but a coward dares to boast that he has never known fear." Ferdinand Foch
We all have fear it is a normal human response to danger. Fear can make us afraid to even move. Fear can stop us from doing the things we love. Your fear can affect the whole family.
But conquering a fear can make you stronger, you can learn from your fear and grow.
When I was young I was afraid of heights. I would not help my mother clean the windows on the second floor that job went to my brother. Imagine my horror when faced with an early morning fire my father dropped me out those same windows into the arms of a waiting neighbor. Let me tell you my fear of heights was gone forever. Now when hiking I am the first one up the hill. And will try any thrill ride ,in fact you will find me first in line.
When I was in my twenties an ex boyfriend of mine hide in a closet and killed his then girlfriend ,son and the man she was currently dating when they returned home. With that news came anxiety attacks. I had trouble sleeping, would wake at the smallest noise, and needed my bedroom door open and the closet door also. A note from someone very special helped to ease that decade long fear, and I have no troubles sleeping and sometimes do it with not only the doors open but the house unlocked.
We all have fears that we won't do well at a task but that should not stop us from trying and succeeding. Some us us have fears we will not succeed at weight loss, or are afraid to try new exercises. Our fears tell us to slow down be cautious, and we should , but never let fear stop you in its tracks . Face your fear , acknowledge it try to challenge it and then move on.
