It is a blast when you actually enjoy exercise. I know so many people who find it really hard to workout. I don't. I remember the days after my knees started going bad. How I could no longer even stand for more than a few minutes without being in severe pain. I remember how I had to use the motorized chairs in stores...feeling embarrassed when people would stare at me, thinking I was too young to need it.
The days I had to take so much medication to ease the pain....the days I could no longer even get in and out of the tub....People staring at me because I needed help to get on and off the airplane....I know some where thinking I was faking it....
Three years ago I had both of my knees replaced. It took several years to get my strength back, but now I am back to my active self, but with a HUGE appreciation for what I can do.....
Teaching the exercise class twice a week at the local gym was a big thing for me. It has been years since I was able and now I can do it again!!! It is so awesome!!!!!!!!
It took so much courage to even step in the gym again. I lost the eye of the tiger, so to say... It was because of friends that I found that courage again. 5 months and 30 pounds later, I am back to my insane self. Loving and living life again.
There may be people who are hitting a low time. Let me tell you something:
YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!
We are not in this alone. The days we fall do not make us failures...They are the days we get back up and show the world that we are winners because we don't give up!!!!
I can do it and so can you! Stop the excuses and see the worth of who God created you to be.
