CHIA DIET?

Wednesday, February 06, 2013

SO, I GOT THIS WEEKS WOMAN'S WORLD AND THE DIET PLAN THAT WAS SPOTLIGHTED WAS THE "CHIA DIET"...AS IN CHI CHI CHI CHIA. NO KIDDING! emoticon THE IDEA WAS IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK AS WELL OR BETTER THAN LAPBAND SURGERY... emoticon SO I DECIDED TO CHECK INTO THE CLAIMS. www.webmd.com/diet/featu
res/truth-about-chia
BASICALLY WHAT THIS SAYS IS THAT CHIA SEEDS ARE VERY HIGH IN NUTRIENTS BUT ALSO PRETTY HIGH IN CALORIES "One ounce (about 2 tablespoons) contains 139 calories, 4 grams of protein, 9 grams fat, 12 grams carbohydrates and 11 grams of fiber, plus vitamins and minerals." BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN THAT IT DOES ANY MORE THAN GIVE US NUTRIENTS AND GROW HAIR ON A CLAY FIGURE.....OH WELL, THE SEARCH FOR THE EASY WAY OUT CONTINUES, BUT UNTIL I FIND IT I'LL KEEP PLUG PLUG PLUGGIN ALONG WITH MY BABY STEPS! emoticon

The chia seeds with a lot of daily water intake creates a gel in your stomach that makes you feel full faster. It is a great way to stop overeating if you you are one to get seconds, thirds, and so on.
