So twice in the last week when I've been at the gym I've had problems getting my heart rate up. I can get it up to like 140 bpm, but I have problems maintaining even that and I don't know why. Pushing myself to an average heart rate of 150 is torture and I can't keep it there. Then I have days like today where I can get my average heart rate to 160 bpm no problem. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why this happens? Is it just cause I'm super tired these days?
Today was an awesome workout day. I haven't gone in 2 days because I've been sore/busy (midterms time) and I only did 40 min of cardio because the gym was closing, but I feel fantastic. I'm actually under my calorie goal even with only 40 min of exercise so that's even better. I think I'm going to do some strength training before bed :)
I measured myself and entered it into spark people for the first time since June of last year...I've lost 0.5 of an inch on my upper arm, but I have gained size everywhere else. That being said I'm not giving up :) I'm going to measure myself every 2 weeks to see how I'm doing, along with weighing myself regularly (I only count it once a week though). Last time I jumped on the scale it said 189, which puts me down 9 pounds in 33 days. I'm alright with my one pound loss this week. Especially considering if you could see how I ate I probably should have gained, even with the gym. But I also took 3 days off and had 2 half a$$ workouts. I had a bad week, and I'm not really sure why, but I'm going to be back on track this week. I'm hoping to be at or below 185 2 weeks from today :D
