First Slump

Hello guys and gals.
I had a long day at work and considering I got a holiday day today, I don't have to work tonight. I know it is real late for my blog but I wanted to give you guys and update on my journey.

I am finding it hard to eat snacks and my meals with my schedule changing so much, not to mention not having snacks in the pantry right now. I have ran out of ideas for cooking dinner. I can cook chicken burritos just so much, until it gets old. I made beef tacos today, not much of a change. I make a lot of chicken and I wish I had more ways to fix it, but I will manage. I guess I am in my first slump. I have made it over a month without a soda and I have not craved any either.

Now I want to talk about my exercise. I have found myself going to the YMCA mostly to play racquetball. The tracker says that racquetball: casual burns up about 1000 calories for 60 mins of play. I guess the fun I have playing just does not let me realize it, but just in case I think I am going to get me a heart monitor that tells me calories too. Then maybe I will feel better about playing racquetball, than running, or cycling.

I did measure myself yesterday and I lost almost 4 inches total throughout my body. It is amazing to see the progress.

I have not been feeling like blogging the last couple of days. So I think I will take a little break. I wont be able to blog when I go to New Mexico Thursday -Saturday. I am sorry for not posting my usual God's word, I just do not feel moved to study today. Please pray for me as I am struggling a little today. More so than usual. Not with anything serious, I just don't have enough time in the day for the things I want and need to do, and it could be I am just sleepy due to working last night and only getting 3 hrs sleep today.

    Way to go in losing 4 inches! For chicken - I will just eat chicken with vegetables and roasted sweer potato. Or sometimes I will add it into a stir fry with low sodium Tumari (Gluten free soy sauce), with pea pods, broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, garlic and onion. I'll try to think up some other ideas and send them your way!

    emoticon Although I love to read your blogs, don't think you have to do them every day. Just to be honest with us and let us in on your thoughts and struggles and victories now and then is also helpful, for it makes us reflect on our own journey- in my case the past is long, and now I have a more hopeful future again. Spark People is awesome, and the folks here who share are even more so. We will be here when you blog...no matter if weekly or monthly at times. Better that you take care of you..there are many in your "real" world who need you too....Blessings, Joanie emoticon
