February 5th already!!!

Wednesday, February 06, 2013

Time is flying by, probably because I am keeping pretty busy. Wasn't January first just yesterday? I don't have time to write much, but I wanted to update you all with what is going on with me.

I did put my scale away, not to be seen til March 1st. (other than my Dr. appt on the 18th) It feels kind of weird. I am realizing how much I rely on those numbers to make me feel like I am succeeding, so it will be interesting to see a change to focusing on the NSV's instead of the numbers.

I had a follow up with another one of my Dr's. One of this seeming myriad of problems I suddenly have is going to need a minor surgery to take care of it, and also to kind of see what is going on in that area. The problems I have been having are symptomatic of another problem. (Not a good conversation, they are not supposed to talk about me like that!) So because of that, they are also going to insert a mini camera and get some pix. My doc really will know me inside and out after that, lol. All that is scheduled for the 26th. Recovery may put a limit on some of my exercising, not sure exactly what is headed my way with that. If everything goes as planned, it will be 2 weeks off of work. If they have to do more, it could be a longer recovery time.

Still enjoying the gym. I kind of like just going in and putting on my music and losing myself in the flow of movement and music. I love how I feel when I am done; that tired feeling of accomplishment is pretty nice.

Well, that is all I have time for,
Off to bed as tomorrow is an early work day for me.

I'm glad you are taking a break from your scale, I think its a good idea and I bet you are pleasantly surprised on March first. I hope all goes well with the doctor--but one thing is certain, whatever health problems arise, you are much better able to cope with them physically with healthier habits.

Participation would at least be getting your money's worth but you can enjoy IT ANYWAY! Good luck with your surgery!
