@ TATTER3 - Typically I do 120+ min. of cardio walking/hiking/day and then 3K - 5K more 'extra steps' and wind up with around 20K+ steps/day. It's broken up into at least 2 sessions, sometimes 3. I fit in the 120+ min. with any spare time I have. Always try to do the big hill too for the extra challenge...and it's really BIG and steep!! About 1/2 mi. nearly straight up.
Had a great day today...a little big draggy, but worked thru it. The snow/ice still isn't off the big hill yet, so the bus is parked down at the bottom. There's supposed to be a little more sun tomorrow, so that should help to melt it off. It's too icy to walk on it now too. They say we're getting rain on Thurs. so the temps are on the way up again!! Good news.
Got the cardio walking done, did some circuits in the woods and some of it in the house. Did a ST session tonight - core; lower body.
We're getting ready to cut the TV cable a bit later this month. Right now we have land line phone, TV & internet thru the cable company. We'll eliminate the land line & TV from it and will only be getting internet. Got a Roku to get some programming on the TV and Amazon Prime for movies. I think we can do this. It would be better to shut the darned thing off more too. I feel good about it, but know it will require some adjustment time. We'll use a VOIP service for the land line phone. Works out to about $7/mo. for the phone, which is a big improvement and reduction in cost. Just trying to cut some basic living expenses without giving it up entirely. There are also tons of free movies to rent from the Library. It would take years to see them all!!!
