Shopping for new yoga pants

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

So I've been working out a lot and my yoga pants have been falling down my butt and are extremely hard to work out in. My shoes, being that I wasn't really working out a lot, were junk. I had a 5 dollar pair of Walmart shoes and lets face it, you get what you pay for. So my husband and I got our tax return and he was happy to buy me the next size down in workout clothes and a new pair of athletic shoes. I usually wear a size 18 or XXL in bottoms and bought 2 pairs of workout pants in a size 16/18 XL and they fit nicely. I'm so happy because now when I'm on the elliptical or doing a yoga tape they're not falling down my butt and I'm not having to pull them up every 2 seconds. Now don't get me wrong, I can't wait till they do start falling down again, lol. Right now I seem to be between sizes and its really getting me to wanting to work out. My size 18 pants are really sagging, but 16's are still just too snug for me to comfortably wear yet. I can't wait till I'm in the next size down. I'm going to love saying goodbye to my size 18's. I weighed on Monday (weigh day for me) and I had gone down 2.4 pounds down to 221.6 That means that just 2 pounds and I will be the smallest I have been since giving birth to my daughter 4 years ago! A pretty big milestone actually. I worked out awhile back before getting pregnant with my 2nd child, Myles and I had gotten down to about 220 and then fell off and got pregnant. During his pregnancy I had a lot of problems with ripping my placenta and was on bedrest for about 3 months. I got up to 265 the day I had him. Of course because of my unhealthy weight I had problems with preeclampsia. I still have to get down to 214 to get my Wii and Just Dance and Zumba and you better believe I've been working hard to get there. Seeing the awesome results of a new healthy lifestyle is really making me so happy. I have more energy and even want to eat healthier instead of just making myself do it. I have to admit, its a great moral booster to go shopping for smaller clothes when the old ones are too big. Its just the first step though, I know. On another good note, I will post a picture of the super pimpish new athletic shoes I got. Nike Air Relentless 2's. They fit like a dream. Makes me look foward to working out!!!

Whoo-hoo!! Good job! It's always nice to buy new clothes a size smaller. Keep up the hard work and you'll have to do it again soon. :)
