3 things I'm proud of today

I'm starting to take small steps toward my goals. Today, I am proud of these 3 things:

1. I was going out and my hubby asked me to pick up treats. It would've been so easy to do. I love treats! And I was going to be right next to a convenience store. But I asked him, "We don't really need treats tonight do we?" And he (begrudgingly?) said no. So we are going treat-free tonight.

2. I made us a healthy salad with chicken for supper. Although it's not something I would ever crave, it was filling and satisfying.

3. I literally and figuratively dusted off my treadmill and walked for 15 minutes. I burned a whopping 88 calories! LOL. But, I know it's a step in the right direction. And I'm not putting a lot of pressure on myself about exercise right now because of the pregnancy.

I'm ok with the 2 chocolate chip cookies I had at work today. Baby steps!!

    emoticon I know how hard it is! I've been out of control too long, this last couple of weeks, the worst! Tonight we're finally having home prepared food! I'm finally filling us with FREGGIES instead of takeout and sweets as we have had for a week straight because of busy busy work schedules! Keep on! How're you feeling these days otherwise?     @ACYCLINGMIND - I'm not sure if my husband will be joining me or not. In the past we have been very co-dependent... we were either both on track or both off the wagon. I figure for now, I'm just going to do my thing without putting any pressure on him. If some good habits rub off on him, I figure it's a bonus! It will be very challenging if he keeps eating junk food, but I think I need to learn to do this on my own, regardless of what anyone else does. We'll see how it goes!

    Woo hoo! Those are definitely three things to be proud of! Especially the treadmill and saying no to treats - you are over those hurdles now, so hopefully they won't be so hard next time!

    Good for you for the no treats. Is "hubby" on this journey with you or will you still be subjected to watching him eat chips while you stick to carrots? This afternoon I discovered incline on my treadmill. It burns the same calories as running so, if you have that option, I recommend it. It puts less stress on your joints and doesn't exert you too much, either; safe for a baby.
