Had my 2nd acupuncture session, ran a few errands and then came home and slept for about 45 minutes. Lunch wasn't much ... an apricot almond bar & then my weakness: Fruit & Nut bar (it was small, but still).
So tonight I allowed myself to be guided to what I should have for supper (DH is teaching tonight so it's just me to feed).
Here's what I had:
Large plate filled with an 'all green' salad (romaine lettuce, chinese cabbage, broccoli, green pepper, celery, green onion, olive oil & balsamic vinegar). Then had 6 walnut halves, and have just finished drinking 1/2 banana, almond 'milk' & 1 tsp of cocoa powder (used my blender). I feel full but not over full. And I feel really great actually!!
I just added all my foods for today to the food tracker & didn't do too badly at all (despite my lunch!) Wish I could up my protein a bit, but want to cut back on meat.... would have done better if I'd had almond butter on my toast this morning. Anyway, I'm content with what I've eaten today and have enough room for a snack this evening if I get hungry again!
Have been reading a book by Shazzie entitled "Detox your Life" with a forward by David Wolfe. Interesting book about switching to a mostly raw food diet. It is a theme I keep returning to...
Got a lot of knitting done this morning & heading back to it again now!
