Connected with Kleenex now

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

Okay, so the last blog entry I lamented that I was feeling a bit disconnected - but now that I'm back in the more-or-less regular routine I'm feeling connected to the group by a pile of used Kleenex!

Many of the members of my team have had the cold/flu that's going around, and sure enough, the day I turned in my big project I felt the scratchy throat coming on. It's full blown now and I'm sure feeling sorry for myself, but at least thankful that this affliction waited until the project was filed away. I delivered the finished sculpture to be photographed last Friday, then spent the weekend wheezing, sneezing, coughing and blowing my nose! Felt like I was going to cough up a lung earlier today.

So...that's my tale of woe. Not looking forward to teaching tomorrow, but I'm thinking that if this started last Thursday I should be on the downhill side soon!

I hope you're able to kick this quickly! I've been fighting a cold and kicking myself that I didn't buy Kleenex stock.....

Fortunately my teaching doesn't involve close contact to the kiddos - I teach college level so I'll stay on my own side of the lecturn for sure!
