emoticon Will it ever end?

Yesterday I called Internal Revenue for forms and they said they should be here in ten days. I went to the library but they had no forms yet. I want to finish taxes before I go for surgery. My taxes are not simple so no freebies and the last time I had a CPA do them they made a lot of mistakes and I had to take it back with all of the corrections and they charged me more than the year before. emoticon You can guess, I have done them myself ever since.

My car was supposed to be finished today but they didn't even call me. I called once, they didn't answer or return the call; I called again and she was on the phone. They wanted to know if I wanted to leave a number (WHAT) or hold. I said I would hold as she did not return my call before. Well now the car will be finished TOMORROW or so they say.

This morning I went to the doctor to leave a urine sample to see if I was completely clear of the UTI.

Since I had nothing to do tomorrow (I THOUGHT) the couple who are helping me with the house are coming over at 10:00 a.m. I only have a couple of heavy boxes to unload as I unloaded one and arranged some things since they left. They said they would vacumn also as I don't want to hurt my knee or fall down.

OOPS I forgot to put the new surgery date down. It is to be March 1, 2013.

Last Sunday I taught on patience, one of the fruit of the spirit, but can you tell it is difficult to have patience. I HAVE TO though as tribulation worketh patience and I sure don't want any more of that.

Next week we study kindness. I need to be kind to everyone.

Good things came out of it.

1. A brand new carpet

2. A brand new water heater.

3. The air conditioner was fixed the same morning I called.

4. My house is downsized (some cabinets and drawers left to do later).

5. I feel less stress.

6. Good friends who helped in labor and in finance.

7. And most of all God who moves upon people to supply all of my needs.

So much is happening at once in your life, and with the surgery looming, all those annoying things happen in a smaller window and seem overwhelming.

I'm so glad that scripture leads you in counting your blessings, and accepting God's gifts despite the stresses.

Sometimes when life is really really tough for me...and I find it hard to county my blessings....instead I look at the world around me and my blessings become abundantly clear. (I don't have a grandbaby dying of cancer. My 6 year old granddaughter has not been taken by a pedophile. I live in a country where my daughters/granddaughters were not forced to marry at age 9 to a 60 year old man. The list could go on and on, but by now I'm back to seeing my blessingsl clearly).

Thank you for reminding us how good God is, and how holy is His name!

I agree with carolyn, you should double check your dates and make sure everything is within the time limits they set. My surgeon also had a limit for how long my clearance from my primary care physician was good, 30 days. Some are 28 days. Either way, you wouldn't want that to get in the way!

Have you tried downloading the forms you need from the IRS website? I don't have the link, but I do remember downloading forms for our fuel tax and such for the rig.

Hugs and prayers,

When my knee replacement surgery was postponed I learned that my physical exam needed to be done no more than 28 days before the surgery. Make sure that when you change the date of your surgery that you do not need to redo all your medical exams again. That would not be a good thing. Once your doctor has cleared you for surgery, that clearance will might not last until all your various other projects are done. Make sure that your doctor's clearance and your surgery date are not too far apart or you might have to restart the clearance part. Just wanted you to know.

emoticon Anjay is right. Typo on surgery date. March 1, 2013. Now 2913 would require a lot of patience.

I can't help but look at the UPSIDE of things that have gone on with you since beginning of the year Irene . . . yep, a lot went wrong but then you ended up with new things, fixed things and also had good friends help and you got some downsizing done! You'll get your car and also get your taxes done and then . . . your knee is going to be fixed up so well, you're going to be dancing around the house!
Patience is hard to hold onto when so many things occur and you've done GREAT in that area!

Irene, I don't know what about today that everyone seems so rude. I had a problem, too. About patience - everytime I pray for it, God sends a slow moving freight to provide the stimulus!! Try to hang in and continue to keep your happy spirit and stay positive.

You have accomplished so many things already this year. With your water heater situation taken care of and downsizing you should feel that Janusry, 2013 was a month of improvements in your home. Let's look to February as getting Irene better (surgery and happy when taxes are done). emoticon

My oldest son had a saying that if anyone was praying for patience for him that he was praying that they get it seven-fold!

I do have to say that you have been getting blessings since the problems started. Isn't it wonderfully amazing how that is working!

Oh, let's don't even talk about patience! lol
Glad you have had so many blessings!
Still no date for the surgery? Hope you get your taxes done so you don't have to worry about that later with recovery!
Hugs to you Dear Friend!
