I did it. Kind of.
I had no idea how long it would take me to do that distance so i went to the gym straight from work to make sure I finished before they closed. But of course, everyone else also went straight from work, and there were no treadmills free.
So I did it on the cross-trainer instead. Does that still count? It certainly feels like it should count.
Looking for my funnies today, I found a picture that popped back into my head when I was about halfway through my run/cross-train:
Today I thought I would share my daily love list with you. This is the list of things I started saying to myself every day since I joined Spark. It built up my confidence like you wouldn't believe and now it keeps it strong.
I start off at my toes. My toes are beautiful,
my feet are beautiful,
my heels are beautiful,
my ankles are beautiful,
my calves are beautiful,
my shins are beautiful...I won't make you read the whole thing. You get the idea!
I am beautiful, sexy, cute, gorgeous, sweet, lovely, fit, attractive, amazing and awesome.
I am interesting and worth knowing.
I am worth talking to.
I am worth listening to.
I am fit and getting fitter,
I am strong and getting stronger,
I am thin and getting thinner,
I am healthy and getting healthier,
I am happy and getting happier,
I am fast and getting faster, (this is a lie but it makes me feel better!),
I am positive and becoming more positive.
I am a runner.
I am a walker.
I am a dancer.
I am a strength trainer.
I am strong and determined, and I will meet my goal.
Anyone out there who has self-confidence issues, try talking to yourself like that just 5 minutes a day. You will feel PHENOMENAL! Yeah it feels a bit weird and self-centered at first, but you are allowed to focus on your self once in a while. Just try it : )
