Well so much has gone on since the last time I blogged. I had a c-section in May of last year that was pretty traumatic and left me unable to exercise due to pain for a while. Then I got pregnant again unexpectedly in November but I had a lot of bleeding so I had to not exercise again. At almost 9 weeks I had to have surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy from my right tube. Right after that my whole house got the flu. This was a month ago. I waited until the pain from surgery was better and am now back on the weight loss track again.
I am a little disappointed that I gained almost 10 lbs back. I made a choice in August to go back to a vegetarian diet ( altho I do eat fish) because I just felt healthier when I was vegetarian. So diet wise I cut out meat and a lot of dairy. I just haven't been exercising so I am hoping that by adding that in it helps me get back in shape.
I have also decided to ease back into exercising slowly because I think going from doing nothing to doing 5 days a week burns me out and gets me unmotivated. So for now I am doing Zumba twice a week. I also made the decision to stop using my kids as an excuse and finally found something that works. I let them do it with me LOL. They love it and this way I don't have to wait for them to be asleep. My 8.5 month old has been amazingly patient and plays in his own bouncy toy while we do it. So no more excuses for me. I hope to eventually do Zumba 3 days a week and then strength training twice a week. For now this is working though.
