Ok, so the wresting costumes may have been a bit over the top. But, it was super-fun to run about the streets of Denver, cape flying out behind me like a super-hero. With the mask on, I could do anything - no one knew who I was. The only bummer was that no one else at the Mardi Gras party really dressed up in costume - a few people had masks and/or silly hats and bow ties, but we really went all out.
It was so good, I think I will continue to refine the costume and wear it again, for Halloween or something.
I went to the gym this morning and did a Crossfit Filthy 50 workout....my arms are still shaking, and I am just about exhausted. My bf came with and did it too - it is SO NICE to have someone to work out with. We are both very workout-oriented, and so much of our time together is spent running the dogs or in the gym. It's great, because when I want to be lazy, he encourages me to get up and go to the gym and vice versa, but I am a little afraid we might kill each other, especially since he is planning on moving in with me after our vacation to St. Marten at the end of this month! (Holy Cow!) We'll have to find a happy medium, I think, before we wear ourselves out.
In other news, the scale said 125 this morning - so I still have 5 pounds to lose before the 22nd. It's getting down to crunch time, so it's time to get serious about cutting back on my caloric intake. I've been tracking for a week and a half, and I've been eating about 1900 calories a day, which is probably what I need to maintain my current weight; yesterday I managed 1690 calories, which is closer to where I need to be to start losing weight, I think. I definitely don't think I can manage anything much less than that and still have energy to work out as hard as I am currently. I also don't track on the weekends - I think I need to, from here on out, if I want to get down to 120 before vacation.
Heavy Sigh. I love eating, so the next two weeks are going to be lame. I suppose it will be worth it, though. I have two new bikinis to rock.
