I went to the weightloss clinic on sat to get my biweekly liptropic shot and my weigh in came to 145.4! that means I lost about 5lbs which means im 1/5 of the way through my goal . I've setup goals fo myself for every 5lbs that I lose . Next stop will be 10lbs total loss and seeing the 130's on that scale! I can't wait! This 1st 5lb loss mean I get a new pair of workout shoes yay!
Some things I've changed/incorporated:
One of my co-workers lives in an apartment complex that offers free fitness classes so I've commited to go with her and another coworker ever monday ( brazilian toning) wednesday ( zumba) and thursday(buns and abs). I've gone to a monday night class and a thursday night class so far and they have definitely left me in pain lol. Before I felt like I only wanted to exercise at home because it was more convienent and private, but since these classes, I really enjoy going out and burning the calories. Plus its an excuse to have some girl time during the week ( considering I have no real social life).
Something new I tried ( just this morning) is I bought the special K protein cereal . Its actually really good! it doesnt have the weird protein aftertaste, its a little sweet and packs 14g of protein if you eat it with skim milk ( i use 2% because I just cant change; more protein and more cals though) . I also started taking the culturelle probiotics ( sorry if this is TMI but i always had problems here)
Overall I'm pretty happy with my progress, I even got a " you look like you lost weight" from my mother in law ( who wont ever lie to you especially about how you look). Even though its only 5 lbs, im only 4'11 , i can feel the change and apparently see it too. Initally I set my goal to lose 2lbs a week......let me tell you....that is quite hard to do. I lost 5lbs in a little over 1 month. I don't know if I will make it to my goal of 25lbs by april with the rate im loosing, ut here's hoping. I don't really know what else I can do ( if anyone has suggestions I always welcome them)
So far the changes I made are to eat more raw fruits and veggies. very low sugar intake. portion control. exercise at least 3 times a week. drinking more water( I still need to work on this)
But i guess just like any other battle in life...slowly but surely I'll get there :)
