I tried to leave as much snack food as I could at my son's house after the Super Bowl Party! His young family needs the calories!

Snacking is definitely my downfall as well. I am really working on keeping the worst challenges out of the house. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

I agree....I don't bring chips in the house very often, because I have a tendency to munch, munch, munch till they're gone. Only for 'special' occasions - like the Super Bowl!!

Oh, I do know that feeling!! Sharing it with others works pretty well with me so take it to work and give it to son or put it out for everyone to eat, whatever, but leaving it at home at least for me is dangerous!!

Lay's Chile Lime chips are my downfall. I wish I had never met them. I just look at them wistfully in the store and keep pushing my cart.

I've started making my own tortilla chips and hummus. I'm also learning to make a mean salsa sauce. I still can't seem to resist my former firefighter hubby's homemade popcorn. It's just SO doggone good. Less butter though and more spices. Recently I'm in love with a chili lime sprinkle. AND...I've been using the so called miracle Red Palm Oil that Dr. Oz had on his program. We'll see if it helps reduce fat, speeds up metabolism, prevents Alzheimer's AND promotes ONLY it would go into work for me! emoticon emoticon I'd bottle this stuff, distribute it to the far reaches of the universe and become a mega billionaire...too much? Okay! emoticon emoticon

I know what you mean. But you can do it. IF I feel like I have to have junk food. I measure out servings into snack bags and only eat one serving.

    Good morning Susan,
we bought girl scout cookies from both girls. I try to eat 1-2. It is hard. emoticon
Take it 1 day at a time with your snack. Love you friend.

The only way I can deal with it is by keeping it out of the house, or getting lower calorie single serving things like pop chips. I use a bag of these with either a homemade tuna salad or guacamole or store-bought hummus. It gives me the feeling of having a snack that is tasty but also healthy. If you haven't tried them, they come in lots of flavors, both chip and tortilla type ( 100 - 120 a bag). I order them on, as I can't get the flavors I like locally.

Yep. Same thing happens to me. I just refuse to buy it anymore, which is easy since it's just me and my hubby now. But, you'd be doing those kids a favor by not buying them junk food. (I know, I know.) Good luck in the 5% Challenge. Bet you don't buy chips for awhile.

I've been there. It's like it's calling your name. I try to keep it out of the house but my boys still think they need it once in awhile. You can do this! Have a good day!
