Benjamin Franklin quote and more

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of."
Benjamin Franklin

I found this quote this morning and it fits me right now. I was complaining this morning about not getting the homework graded that I brought home last night because I was playing on the WII with my kids. Reading this quote helped me to realize that I should be enjoying this time with them because all too soon they wouldn't be asking me to play video games with them. Granted, this is not a new realization for me, just made me think again about the importance of family and spending time together when you can.
Otherwise things are going well. I'm taking a little break from cardio, I pulled a hamstring, a couple of weeks ago and it's just not getting better, so today is my third day off of running or any major cardio, just lots of stretching. I'm hoping tomorrow it will be better so I can start running again since my training program for my 1/2 marathon starts Monday the 11th. I'm nervous, especially with this minor injury, but I'm going to think positive and I CAN DO IT!!
Thanks for stopping in and have a Terrific Tuesday!!

Nip the injury in the bud by making a full recovery.
Once you start training, you will really want to
focus on that and not a recurring injury.
Kiss the kids for me. HUGS!

I SQUANDER WAY TOO MUCH TIME NOW THAT I'M NOT IN SCHOOL BUT HOPEFULLY I'LL FEEL BETTER SOON AND WILL MAKE MORE OF IT.
