Juicing

I have been juicing for the whole week. I realize this sounds extreme, but I feel I need some extreme right now. I am still getting my nutrition and calories but I am doing it through blending, food processing, and juicing. Some vegetables don't juice, like lettuce, cauliflower and broccoli so I put them in the food processoe before putting them in the blender which works really well. This is pretty much what I have been doing the last 8 days full time! I have been addig some other stuff as well. I have powdered spiurlina, vegie protein powder, bee pollen, coconut oil, chia seeds and flax seeds are to name a few. I also put one to 3 pieces of fruit in the mix throughout the day. It keeps me full.

The result so far is I have lost 11 lbs. 7 of those lbs are new. lbs. I had gained 4 lbs the week before I started. I am really excited about this. I was watching the Netflix food documenteries and this is what convinced me to give it a go. I am going to stop at day 10 which is friday for one week and then do it again.

    I LOVE juicing! And I love green smoothies, I've been having a green smoothie almost everyday, with just greens, cilantro, spirilina, garlic, a whole lemon minus the peelings, a tomato, and a jalapeno. Its really good and very filling. My sons call it a Frog Slurpy. That's awesome about the 11 lbs--and don't you feel GREAT, eating so healthy!! I feel GREAT!

    Well, it is winter and all that juicing might keep the viruses away from you. I hope.
Congrats on losing the 11 lbs. Be careful. I hope that the 11 lbs. stays off when you start eating healthy solid foods. Let me know about that for sure.

I have up my exercise activities. I hope that will cause me to get going down on the scale again. I have bounced up and down also. I have caught it at about a four lbs gain and working to get it off.

I understand why you would be trying something new, but remember we have to live using a healthy lifestyle the rest of our lives. I couldn't live on juicing the rest of my life. (LOL) I think I could handle for maybe a week. I sure wish you luck.

Oh, I found that putting in A LOT of protein has made my calorie burn go up higher. It is showing this on my calorie monitor. Maybe you could go to this type of change. next. I hope that I see some weight lost because of this.

    Take it easy on yourself, the body can't sustain itself too long on juicing.

    I haven't done much research on juicing but I do know of people who are doing it for at least one meal a day. As long as you are getting your calories and nutrition in and it's not affecting anything like your energy or mood, then using it to temporarily change things up is a good idea. Just take care of yourself!
