5% challenge

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

I've never done a 5% challenge, but I think it's going to help me stay focused. I hope that I remember to post my weight and stuff weekly. The whole logistics of it is kind of confusing, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. The ladies doing it certainly do seem to have everything organized. Looking forward to it.

emoticon Your individual team & leaders will help you. Just be committed to do all you can consistently. Don't be afraid to ask your team when you have questions. The only dumb question is the one not asked. emoticon emoticon

Yes, this is one of the best organized challenges I've seen on Spark, the leaders rock. Once you get assigned to a team, you join that team and that's where the log is to track your miles (minutes) each day. You'll want to track your minutes daily as the first team to rack up the right number "lands" first and gets extra points. So, you'll probably find yourself on Spark a little more than now. And yes, tracking weight. But I've found that it's the minutes tracking that gets you motivated and the weight loss just naturally follows. (yay!)
Getting to know your teammates and making new friends is part of the fun too, if you have time for that. I've made the best of friends on this challenge. Best wishes to you!

It's a fun challenge! I participated last summer, but feel like I let my team down because that's right when I got the stress fracture and was banned from exercise or even walking for 12 weeks. And of course, I didn't lose any weight when I couldn't move!

LOl not that hard and yes the biggest thing to remember is to post your weight. The other stuff is to help and does assist your team to getting in first. But they do need your wt.
Last time I didnt end up doing anything but posting my wt. All the other times, I did whatever was needed that week.
Enjoy and you will lose your 5%. I almost did last time.
