Your Value

Know that although in the eternal scheme of things you are small, you are also unique and irreplaceable, as are all your fellow humans everywhere in the world.

Exo 19:5 If you will listen obediently to what I say and keep my covenant, out of all peoples you'll be my special treasure. The whole Earth is mine to choose from, (MSG)

Have you ever struggled with self-esteem? What Bible verse(s) or person(s) helped you to overcome and realize your value?

God is the first person to go to then people you can trust and won't stab you in the back later.
I love the people at church and they open your eyes and teach you many things.

Circumstances in my early years of marriage created a self-esteem problem in my life. It wasn't until I began looking into God's word to see what He thought of me that I was able to break free of those thoughts and gain the victory. I used to high light the scriptures in my Bible that spoke of how precious I was to God and then proclaimed them out loud to myself. By reading and hearing I multiplied the positive effects they had on my life. It took some work but I won the victory!

Self esteem has never been a real issue for me even while in school. I believe it's because of the values I had while growing up. We were taught to love ourselves no matter what because we are unique in our own way.

I haven't had a problem with self-esteem but I do claim Psalm 139:13-14. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
