Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
My son came over on Saturday and took my husband and me to Best Buy to shop for a new computer for me. I have a new Hewlett-Packard pavilion lap top. I am leaving my old desktop set up on my desk, and I fiddle with the new computer. I used it for the first time last night. My husband bought a new computer for me as a 35th wedding anniversary present. We bought it on Saturday, and Sunday, my husband drove about 25 miles to pick it up. They were out of stock at the Best Buy where we bought it! My son came yesterday evening around 5 PM and I told him I wanted to leave my desktop computer set up where it is, he was not happy about that. He downloaded some things and said he would come back again later that evening. He came by again and transferred things from the desktop on my old computer onto the desktop of the new lap top. I sat in the recliner last night and fooled with the new lap top.
There are still things I need to ask my son about, like how to turn down the volume. I tried and it would mute, but not decrease the volume. I am using my old computer to do some e-mails. There is no e-mail loaded onto the new computer. He must have disconnected the speakers to my old computer because I have no sound on it.
I saw on my blog about Jack, the cat, that my friend may want to adopt him. My husband told me last night that I could have him, but I hesitate to take him because gasoline is going up and because my rottweiler wanted to chase Jack in the worst way. I don't want her to hurt other animals. The newspaper listed him as a medium-haired, male cat. The Humane Society puts notices in the newspaper of animals that are picked up. Jack may need some veterinary care too because of his poor condition. The Humane Society does some of that, but he may need to be neutered. I didn't try to check his gender when I had possession of him because tom cats can turn mean in a hurry. He allowed me to pick him up off of the floor and never tried to bite or scratch me. He was a perfect gentleman cat, lol!
We have about 3" of snow here today. We still have temperatures below freezing. I made chili con carne and cornbread last night, so I don't have to cook today. I am putting our receipts onto spreadsheets getting ready for tax time.
I heard on the news yesterday that our new gas prices will probably be about $3.75 or higher a gallon, and probably won't fall below that. It all eats into what what my husband makes. I am frugal and don't have any wants.
I had a $5 Shop Your Way Rewards credit at KMart and went with my husband there to buy jeans on Sunday. He couldn't find his size. He ended up with a pack of tube socks that he has been wanting. He will only buy socks that are marked "over the calf" and there was only one bag which had been torn open. I had the cashier check to make sure that all of the socks were there. That was his anniversary present from me, lol! It is tough to buy a present for him when it is his money I am spending, but I used all of the rewards I had accumulated on the socks.
He tells me, "I love you more!" and from the looks of things, it appears that way. I tell him, "I love you...but I'm not lying!"
