****avoid the bubble guts***

I am on the road traveling today and will be living out of a hotel for the next four days. I avoid fast food at all costs but today I made and exception. I was so hungry I couldn't think straight. It was four and a half hours in between my breakfast and lunch and I wanted something quick. I got on the internet and looked up the nutrition facts for Chik-fil-a. I was able to get an 8 pc chicken nugget, waffle fry and cup of chicken soup for about 700 calories. That was a good chunk of calories but I needed calories. I didn't need Chik-fil-a and I felt it later. The tight stomach and bloat and I just didn't feel good. I do not miss fast food. Thankfully, I was smart enough to stock my hotel room with good options (soups, bananas, apples, light popcorn, water bottles). I just have to make I dont allow myself to go that long in between meals. To offset the bubble-gut inducing meal, I went to the hotel gym and mostly walked on incline and did some jogging on the treadmill for an hour and forty minutes. I managed to still have a caloric deficit of over 700 with an hour and a half to spare. Here is to hoping the scale is kind this weekend.

    I am glad that you shared this. We are travelling on Thursday through Sunday for the wedding. And I think I will take some fruit and snacks with me as well. I don't want the bloating or bubble guts.... lol emoticon Your posts are always on time.

    DANG girl! You are a WORKOUT machine!!! I noticed when I didn't eat fast food for so long and went back for a meal it was SO GROSS AND SALTY!!!!!!!!!! EWW! I definitely don't miss it when I can have REAL natural food at home. So weird that I would crave it and eat it all the time before!
I know it is hard when you're out of town! Proud of you for stocking your hotel with good options!!

    Chick-Fil-A ProTip: You can get the nuggest grilled instead of fried, which gets rid of a lot of needless calories. Since I only like dipping the chicken into a sauce anyways (Buffalo sauce for me--I LOVE spicy and it has almost no calories), then the chicken not being breaded and fried is no big deal.

It's hard to say no to fries, though. emoticon

    Can I steal "bubble guts" from you? That's the perfect description of that feeling!
I cannot eat their nuggets. I don't know why, but they make me have bubble guts, too! Next time, you might want to try their chargrilled chicken salad! It has carrots, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, a bit of cheese, and of course the grilled chicken. It has FAR less sodium than the McDonalds salads. Also, if you pair it with the croutons and honey roasted sunflower seeds, it gets even more yummy, although of course that adds a lot of fat to the meal.
You seem very well stocked for your hotel room. Good job!

    bubble gut...LOVE it...not that you got it...just the word....I ate a few spoonfuls of KD last night and I am still bloated from it...bubble gut...that is exactly how I feel!

great job getting those healthy choices!
