My big deal of the day was spinning a bonus wheel and landing on 1,000 goodie points.
I had decided to enter my food before we took off for a number of appointments. I came down to the basement and entered the food I was going to prepare for the day. DH was still sleeping so I had time for that and then I spun the 7 that a Spark friend in England always called it a lucky 7 but that was what followed it. 1,000 GOODIE POINTS.
Another sparker just recently asked the question does anyone win 500 goodies, I never thought about it. I never watch it spin because it is tricky it stops and starts again on some days so I spin it and then hide it up at the top of the page.
I look at it when it is firmly in place. I am thinking is there ever a 5,000 goodie on the wheel. Maybe the other Sparker had said that instead. Since I hide the wheel I rarely get to see the offerings. Just my silly way to do it.
When I first joined SPARK the wheel had pop-up goodie numbers but at some point it changed.
I really like the goodie points and being able to send Goodies as private little packages to friends, makes it special when it says someone has sent you a goodie and likewise it is a special gift to send them to others.
I never send goodies to myself I get more joy using the points to send to others.
I have had very little exercise today I have done 30 minutes on the gazelle but it also does not track on the pedometer I wonder if anyone else uses that old gazelle machine jt has been great to keep DH hip loose for many years. It does still track mileage but that cannot convert to steps in my mind.
I keep hoping for snow so I can stay home and exercise all day. It has been cold and windy so no-one wanted to walk the trail and today everywhere I went in the car DH came with me.
There was a surprise for us today. The surgeon who did DH’s HIP called and asked him how he was doing. He was still experiencing wake up pains that were hard to handle sometimes in his muscles. He was out of pain meds and he was given a prescription yesterday. The surgeon and he talked for a while and I reminded him to ask about PT so he did. He was told once again the Surgeon preferred not to have outside PT for this lateral hip replacement so we had actually done everything right.
When DH told the surgeon he was walking without a cane or a limp he was told to take it easier, rest up a bit and don't overdo it.
This was our busy day for appointments and shopping and DH opted to come along with me. It was sunny but cold so with the shopping he sat and listened to music in the van. At the pharmacy where he has his C-PAP supplies there was a long wait and DH paced around looking on the shelves and I sat down. There are many chairs but he wanted to walk.
We actually returned the walker, that was his idea , he said he did not need it so take it back and we did.
A bit less clutter in the living room.
The dining table has his computer and printer so he can still do the accounting and he is getting ready to do the dreaded taxes.
Few steps today but much accomplished I only had 5521 steps today. I did do 30 minutes with Coach Nicole ST with resistance bands. I was disappointed but more important things had to be done because if it snows DH will be house bound again.
Time for bed !!!
