Time to think about starting plants for gardens

Monday, February 04, 2013

This is first bunch of tomato seedlings ...two weeks old and DH put them into their four inch posts Thurs and Fri ... This is major process for him as we grow for three Farmer;s markets through the summer.

I hope to get a little corner of the germinating heat pad to start some flowers and herbs next week...he is not sure about this but I keep wanting and I don;t ask for many things...I think I will win..teehee

I was going to start my own tomatoes this year. I used to do it years ago. But right now, I'm feeling so overwhelmed I can hardly think about it. But it is about that time. Hmm - will I or won't I?

You must have a awesome. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a garden...but my back yard is small and it is just me to do it I am doing potted herbs...maybe some tomatoes and a few annuals for color...tons of potted plants in my patio. I LOVE working in the yard and with plants and am envious of your garden....

Wow! I don't know about starting them. I usually buy little ones (but not babies) that someone else started. This year, though, I have two or three that survived the winter and are looking quite lively. I may not have to buy any plants at all. Which would be a good thing, because I usually don't get much of a crop from the plants I do have.

It startled me when our Pastor started talking about Lent starting next week and now you are planting garden seedlings!
