Some answers and more questions

Monday, February 04, 2013

So I have hashimoto thyroiditis, an autoimmune thyroid disorder. My body produces anti-bodies and it is attacking my thyroid. I am already on thyroid meds, but eventually I will probably be on complete thyroid hormone replacement drugs.
The problem is, that since it's not celiacs disease...the thyroid is not causing my stomach problems. The doc suspects yet another auto immune disorder somewhere in my gut. So it's time for a colonoscopy. What fun. Have any of you ever experienced any of these problems?
