My Inspiration For Today

Monday, February 04, 2013

I'm a little solemn today and I have gained some significant weight due to experimenting with the "put the scale in the closet" method. This is not a good idea for me, as it turns out. Oops. Live and Learn!

But, that being said, I'm also not a "this is the end of the world" person. I usually inventory my feelings, behavior, and attitude and make necessary changes. I usually see the bright side and find joy in little things.

Today my joy is this little tomato plant that I have shared before. It is February, we have moved it into our carport to protect it from the elements, and here it is still trying to produce tomatoes. I am going to eat one that I picked for dinner and suck inspiration from its little flesh. If these little tomatoes can grow and ripen against all odds, so can I.

Well, I guess that is a bit melodramatic, but you get the point.

Have a great week, Sparkfriends. Thanks for always inspiring me to be better. You are all my little tomatoes!!!
Peace,
Leslie

The little tomato plant.....what is its name????...reminds me of a special song my new friends at Park Royal love... "High Hopes"...okay so this song is about a little rubber tree plant....same idea. Wow....I needed a bit of inspiration this morning. Thanks for this blog, Trivia Sister. Now what about the plant's name? LOL! emoticon Remember, I am the one that has named each and every one of the koi swimming in the koi pond. LOL! And the concrete raccoon and anything else I can give a name to. Take care and I hope you have a wonderful day supporting your best friend today. I am proud of you ! emoticon

So your experiment wasn't as successful as you hoped. You never know unless you try. Although, it is frustrating to have to "relose" weight. Now you know. I love your little tomato plant and it should be a lesson in determination and persistence for all of us!!! Love you!
