At the beginning of January, I set out to challenge myself this year. CHALLENGE has definitely completely began to embody my actions for the year; I am so glad I picked it as my word. I am getting so much accomplished toward balancing my life. I feel it needs to be balanced on all levels if I want to be successful in any of the levels...health/fitness, my environment, fun/leisure time, personal growth, spirituality, career, financial, family, other relationships and my emotional health. I have a challenge for myself each month that relates to one of these.
My challenge for January focused on health & fitness. I set out to complete 1300 fitness minutes. I know that I got started about 1.5 weeks late, so I was shy of that goal by 267. I know I can definitely do that this month as long as I meet my weekly goals. I would say that one is pretty down pat.
February is about challenging my personal growth; I have a goal to read 30 self-development articles this month. Completely doable. I chose 30 b/c that pushes me to read a little more than 1 a day. I do not intend these to be books with 100's of pages, but articles so definitely feeling good about this month as well. I will also be keeping up with the 1300 fitness minutes. My intent is that each month will build upon the next.
Being part of the BLC21 Ninja team is really helping me accomplish these. I have to really thank all the fabulous women on the team that are pushing me to do what I know is possible, just a little beyond some of my comfort zone. I say beyond my comfort zone b/c I have procrastination issues and organization issues
I am working on meal plans that benefit my workouts, so it's now adjusting time. Tomorrow my plan is to wake up with a nice warm bowl of oatmeal & milk
Snack 1: have a tangerine and 1/2 cup yogurt
Lunch: left over pork chop, brown rice and asparagus
Snack 2: baked potato
Supper: pork chop, brussels sprouts, baked potato
Snack 3: air-popped popcorn
