... To the Winter 5% Challenge!!!!
So what is the Winter 5% Challenge?
It's a team that is SUPER EXTREME ACTIVE that challenges every team member to lose 5% of the Body Weight in 8 weeks. This is a commitment, everyone on the team must be active. Everyone on the team has been invited for the most part, but there are people who have seen it on the pages of other sparkers and have joined as a result.
So, I have joined
I've got my gym clothes, runners, water bottle, BODYMEDIA FIT, and IPHONE4 ready to go.
My main exercise plan is to WALK, RUN/WALK, & WALK. In addition, I will be personally challenging myself to 24 days of Strength Training during the 8 week challenge. (Don't ask me when this challenge starts, all I know is it begins later on this month.)
I have a vegan leaning diet. Have been since before my daughter was born and she's going to be 10 in a few months. So as far as "my grinds," I will be eating mainly veggies and fruits, limiting my starches as much as possible to the a.m. and keeping it low cal and simple on my 2nd meal and just staying within my suggested calorie range according to my BodyMedia Fit.
At this point, I don't know what team I'm on. I'll just be hanging around the team threads before "take off." I know as a newbie, I'll be assigned to a team. I'm sure it will be a great team, just because the greater whole of the Winter 5%ers have to be active. I just need to stay active! How about that?
