Shoe box news

Monday, February 04, 2013

As many of you know, I do shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Last year, I put together 3 boxes to send out. They request a donation of $7 per box to cover the shipping cost, and if you pay online, you can track where your box goes.

I just got an email that my boxes for last Christmas went to Kenya. emoticon

I already have a few things for next year's boxes; I watch for sales and the clearance in stores so I can stretch my dollars and get those shoe boxes as full as possible.

Anyway, it just made my day today to think of those children in Kenya enjoying the items I packed in those boxes.

That is such lovely news to hear where your Christmas boxes went. I am sure those children in Kenya are enjoying every bit of them! You are so wonderful to do things for others in such practical and thoughtful ways. God bless, Shari.

You're such a wonderful giving person and I'm sure those kids' lives, and probably their family's lives also, are better off for your generosity. Every major change in the world starts with small efforts made by people who want to do good.
