I "ran" a 5k at the end of December. I have diligently trained for my upcoming 5K since. In the past month I have shaved 6 minutes off my time. That hardly makes me Speedy Gonzalez, but it does put me firmly in the middle of the times shown in last years results.
My thighs are tighter (even impressed my 10 year old when she patted my leg), I can walk up the stairs without losing my breath, and I've lost 10 lbs (the right way). Instead of whining when I go run, my kids actually ask me when I am going to go and encourage me when I am finished.
Little changes. Amazing.
