The Monday Morning After

Monday, February 04, 2013

After my first two weeks on SP and slowly easing my way into nutrition and fitness I experienced my first downfall. An all too familiar feeling. I splurged this weekend eating out at Chelsea Market Grille in the Museum District. I had a Black Angus hamburger (bun and all). My husband ate 1/4 of the burger but I can't rely on that to save me. I did manage to partition the french fries (small little pixie stix) so that I only ate about 1 cup's worth - still probably too much.
We were supposed to walk around the HMNS but only did a short 20 minute seated 3D Movie and then left for coffee. Oh well.
What really did me in though was ending up at The Chocolate Bar for coffee. I thought I was going to get away with just a coffee and ended up sharing a Black Russian Chocolate Mouse Cake with my hubby. Boy was it good.
Of course, that led to other tragedies later that night. A nibble of trail mix, a handful of Lays. Oh well. Chalk it up to a fun day.
Woke up with a headache this morning immediately....don't know if it was sinus allergies or the cold I have been suffering from for the last 2 weeks). Regardless, today though, I'm back on track. Did some workouts, ate healthy and drank my water and I feel better. Just a little disappointed that my scale reading of the other day was 156.4 and now it's 158. I know I'm not supposed to weigh daily but I just had to get a slap in face as punishment for indulging in choc cake frenzy. Slapped me right back into reality.....at least until next weekend. emoticon

Sounds like you had a lot of sodium, which you are probably retaining. Increase the cardio & drink your water:) emoticon
