Feb. 1st was the start of a new challenge for myself. It's one of consistent exercise and over-all better wellness for myself and my family. My husband is a runner. My son is a runner & tennis player. My daughter is starting gymnastics and wants to pursue tennis and softball. I, however, have done nothing of real consequence in the past 7 years to make a true difference in how I look and feel. I want to change that. So, starting this past Friday, I am making a commitment to exercise for at least 20 minutes per day, everyday. I've come to a point where I hit the *number* on the scale that makes me cringe. The number I have said good-bye to in the past and was hoping to never see again. I was discussing this with my family yesterday and my son asked me if I was gonna get 'swole' (slang for big, buff muscles in the teen boy arena). I told him I was trying to do the opposite...getting 'unswole' because I had already gotten 'swole' in the wrong places! He just laughed.
So, here's to getting UNSWOLE in February!
