Non Scale Victories!!

Monday, February 04, 2013

I just wanted to blog about 2 non scale victories that I had this week. The 1st came on Friday when I worked my 16 hr shift as a nurse on a busy floor. I do this every other Friday and I calculate I am probably on my feet for 12 out of those 16 hours. There is a lot of bending and lifting involved (on top of the mental stress). Well, Usually around hour 12-13 I start to get really bad lower black aches and feel exhausted. I alway s bring Alieve with me and take 1 or 2 depending how bad it is. Well, don't you know this past Friday, I went though the entire double shift with absolutely no pain or exhaustion? I couldn't believe it! I had so much energy and felt so good the whole day. I am assuming this was not some crazy fluke and that it is do to all the consistent exercise I've been doing! Yay!!

The 2nd NSV happened today while running on the treadmill. My workout pants kept falling down! This never happened before and I've been wearing them for over a year. Either I am totally wearing them out or I am slimming down. Either way, I am super excited! Time to get out the sewing kit!

Hoping you all are enjoying non scale victories too!!

Hooray! You are slimming down,it's time to buy new clothes! Awesome victory!

I notice that if I slack on the strength training that my back can bother me a little, so you are definitely doing the right stuff and it shows! Great job!

Sounds like you are off to a great start. I used to work 16 hours shifts but it involved sitting in a control room, with very little movement. It is great that you are doing something for yourself now, despite your busy life. Congratulations on your NSV and hope there are many more to come.
