Changing Plans and My Weight Loss Story (So Far)
Monday, February 04, 2013
It looks like Toronto isn't happening this year. But the reasons it is being set back are good ones, as more people (especially Brits) are wanting to come along. Which means more planning time will be needed, so they can all afford the trip. Now the date is set for August 2014, and I have found some good vacation rentals in the Cabbagetown District that should work well.
I am so excited...if only it wasn't so far away!
But I have something to look forward to in the meantime. We decided to take the kids on a small vacation this summer. We are only going to Southern Utah (St George) for six days. Something age appropriate that will only take about 4 hours to drive to. There is a ton to do up there, like trail hiking, and of course plenty of swimming. It is going to be a blast.
Weight Loss Story
As part of the BLC#17 Challenge, I am supposed to talk about my weight loss journey as it stands so far. But there isn't really a whole lot to tell. I have tried this several times, and I have always lost weight but never more than 20 lbs or so before I fell off the wagon. For a long time I didn't gain or lose, but just stayed the same after I had my second child.
This time is different. I finally understand how to do this, and I am doing it right. I still struggle a little bit with panic, thanks to my past with eating disorders (the bulimia in particular), but it is more thoughts that I have to push back, rather than anything else.
So far, I have lost 50 lbs. Given the pace I have kept up, I should be able to hit 200 by the new year. Then I am just 40 from my goal weight.
That is my story, so far. Not very exciting, but at least it is progress being made.
