My husband recently started a new job, which is stressing him, and unfortunately, when stressed, he turns to food! He's gained over 30 lbs since December, and is bringing a bunch of junk food into the house, which is starting to throw me off track myself. How do you lovingly deal with a problem like this?
Some things I've tried are to buy us both a gym membership, but he doesn't go. Not even for the hot tub, which is crazy. I've been trying to make really healthy meals, but he'll just refuse that food and make lunchmeat sandwiches, followed by maybe 6 packs of cupcakes, which HE buys and brings home.
This has gone on too long now, and I'm at my wit's end with this man and his food addiction, which is what I call it because he's using food to deal with his feelings. Carbs are very sedating, you know.
