No Snacking after 8PM

Monday, February 04, 2013

I've come to the conclusion that this goal is un-attainable for me. It's something I REALLY need to work on... or do I?
I usually make sure I have enough left in my ranges for an evening snack. I like to have a mini-bag of popcorn while I watch TV or read in the evenings.
Do I really need to have it before 8:00?
I'm just not sure!

Sounds like you have a plan! Sounds good to me and you can always change the plan if you are not reaching your goals. emoticon emoticon

I do believe that you are doing it the right way, Fishy Face!! You have it planned and aren't going all crazy with 3 cupcakes, a bowl of icecream, a bag of chips & giant Mt. Dew for your evening snack!
I think a "mini bag" of popcorn is great!

For me, however, I had to cut it out of my routine altogether. I LOVE popcorn, and it has to have butter and salt on it! Has to. Period. There really isn't a point to popcorn without it. Movie theatre is the best. Or Ultra-butter......... SEE?! I can't be trusted. :-)

I think that since you are stating that this goal is unattainable for you that it IS unattainable for you Joisey Girl. You have to live it and own it and if it feels like this, you don't. Does that make sense? Your journey and what works for YOU is attainable!

I think the key here, is that you've planned it into your day. Seems to me that it's no worse than a mid-morning snack - but depends on your planning. This IS a way of life and NOT a diet, so it seems that you feel deprived without your evening snack you won't stick with the program!

Sounds to me like a winner the way you've got it planned in. emoticon

I think 8 PM is just a guidline based on an 11 PM bedtime. If you go to bed later you can adjust accordingly. At least you're doing a healthy snack! I enjoy popcorn spritzed with Bragg's Liquid Aminos (soy sauce alternative) and some nutritional yeast. No butter!

They say if you can make it through 28 days then your goal becomes a habbit. Best of luck on your journey. You can do anything if you truly believe it. :D

As long as its not high in calories or causes digestive problems eating or drinking after 8 should be fine. I often have a glass of milk before bedtime. Its your overall "healthy" eating habits that add the unwanted pounds, Earl emoticon
