I was very happy to get eight hours of sleep last night. My insomnia has been really bad for three months and I've been sleeping from 5pm to midnight. It's cutting into my social life! I woke up without hives again. I've been giving the bedding an extra rinse with a little vinegar to get out all the detergent. I use unscented, 'free and clear' detergents but I still get itchy unless there is absolutely no residue at all. Of course, scented 'regular' detergents are ten times worse and I can't use any sort of fabric softener at all, even the unscented ones.
Since I was able to get a good night's sleep, I decided to take an Allegra in hopes that it would stop the cycle of allergic response. It makes my insomnia worse so I waited to take it until I slept well. Benedryl makes me drowsy but it gives me Restless Legs Syndrome which also keeps me up. And, since I was on allergy meds, I vacuumed and dusted the bedroom in case my dust mite allergies were making my asthma and sulfite allergies worse.
I had old-fashioned oatmeal with cinnamon, dried cranberries, organic walnuts, Celtic sea salt, and turbinado sugar this morning. No hives, yay! And, I'm make black beans because one cup has 175% of the RDA for molybdenum which helps one's body create the enzyme that neutralizes sulfites.
Took two 15 minute walks yesterday! Yay!
