Some of you may already know that I had joined a gym to help keep me active this winter. It's a good thing I did, otherwise I would just be sitting in the house on these cold, cold days.
The gym has Biggest Loser Challenge, which my workout buddy thought we needed to join. I really wasn't expecting anything to change, but slowly the scale is starting to move in the right direction. It is moving very slowly, but it is moving.
So what have I changed? I have been trying to figure out what I am doing differently than I was doing before.
1) I go for a glass of water, first thing in the morning.
2) I am really trying to focus on getting in more vegetables. This is really hard for me since I am not much of a vegetable eater. I have a ways to go on this, but I am really trying to focus on it.
3) Last couple weeks, I have added push-ups, crunches and squats. I only do 30 of each, every other day.

These are the only things I can think of that I am doing differently the past couple weeks. Small changes, that are helping me to get to my goal.

Keep in mind, I still go to the gym 5-6 days a week. I switch off between 30 minutes on the elliptical, or 60 minutes on the bike or treadmill.

We have either 3 or 4 weeks left of the challenge. My goal was to get to 180 pounds, which would be another 14 pounds. I might not make that goal, but if I continue to move in that direction, I will be happy as I know that I will be able to continue what I am doing.

Well done! This is great - the more muscles you build up, the more calories they burn. It's obviously working for you. I need to follow your example and get back to the gym!
Thanks for sharing, and the inspiration!
