More books, in context

Monday, February 04, 2013

Sitting in front of the books on the book cabinet on my left are: Walker’s Shortbread, bubble gum balls, the case for my Philip Stein watch, the box from the Sprint cell phone, a three hole punch, and a collapsing purple umbrella. The writing books on my desk are propped up with two elephant bookends that I purchased a couple of years ago from Barnes and Noble. They do a pretty good job.

Across the room from me, in the television cabinet, are some more books. These books are the annuals/year books from my junior high, senior high, and undergraduate college. In front of those books are some family photos of the girls, a statute of an enlisted navy man, and a bear with a naval uniform. That cabinet also houses our DVD/CD/Video collection as well as my record collection.

Sounds wonderful. I love books too. Love to read but love to write more. What a blessing education has been for me. I cannot imagine not being able to read or write.
Thanks for sharing.

I still have some of my college texts and I graduated in 1967! I think it is probably time to get rid of them!

It's hard to keep books and things organized. But the more I do the more organized the rest of my life seems to be.
