WE ARE AFRAID
There are times when we don’t do something because we are afraid. We are afraid of confronting someone. We are afraid of what others will think. We are afraid of not being normal so we waste time doing other things. Then we spend time worrying about not doing God’s will while wasting time trying to fit in. God gives us what we need not to be afraid. He goes before us, He is with us and He will keep us safe. The time we spend avoiding what He wants us to do is wasted time. Let’s step up for God today.
Deuteronomy 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, help us to be strong and courageous today. Help us to not fear what others will say or do to us when we stand up for You. Help us to stop worrying about what to do but instead step out boldly for You and obey You. You promise to go ahead of us. You promise to be with us. You promise never to leave us. Help us to trust You and Your promises today and to not be afraid. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we feel alone and scared, we need to stop and remember God is with us.
Others may oppose what we do and say when we speak out for God, but God is proud of us when we do.
The time we spend putting off what God wants us to do shouldn’t be greater than the time we spend doing it.
1 Peter 3:14 “But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.” (NLT)
