my refrigerator is dying a slow death.
Although I wasn't very fond of this fridge at all. It's a side by side that friends gave us a few years ago. They had it for about 2 years when they remodeled their kitchen and gave it to us. I can see why they got rid of it.
This fridge does not fit our lifestyle. Who would have thought that I'd look at a fridge that way? It's true. It's small and things get lost in the back. I have 2 small veggie drawers. 1 is used for the hubby's lunch fixings and the other is mine for fruits & veggies. It does not hold much. Most of my produce is downstairs in the basement overflow fridge.
One of the things I loved about this fridge in the beginning was the water and ice in the door. Whoo hooo! No more ice trays! Well, about a year ago the water quit completely. It would freeze up and I'd have to leave the door open to thaw the line so we could have water again. That got old! Who wants to leave their freezer door open to thaw the water line? How wasteful. So, I gave up on water in the door. 6 months ago the ice maker pooped out. I had to haul the ice trays back out. Try getting a teenager to refill an ice tray.
Thanks to Abt here in Chicago - our new fridge is being delivered today!
yes, I'll have ice & water in the door. Apparently the freezing hose thing doesn't happen with the newer models. AND I get 2 BIG produce drawers!
Hubby gets his own separate drawer for lunch goodies.
The fridge is big and has lots of room for our healthy lifestyle. Can't wait to move in to it!
does your fridge help you in your healthy lifestyle?
