I'm having fun with this new life of mine. It's fun to get new clothes and have them fit. Even more fun is getting new clothes and having them be a bit TOO BIG! I do have a hard time knowing what size to get. Since I buy nearly everything online, I order what seems to be the correct size, but my new pants are a bit loose. And I was afraid they'd be too tight! That's fun.
And it's fun to make a quick stop at our clubhouse just to pick up something and have several people stop me and tell me I look fantastic. That's REALLY a lot of fun.
And even though I'm still addicted to getting on the scales, even that is fun these days. I posted 96 lbs lost on SP, but today the scales showed 98 lbs. gone. Since I fluctuate so much, I don't post a loss unless it shows up a couple of days in a row. But watch out--I just might make that 100 lbs. by Valentine's Day.
And I'm having fun learning to cook healthy. I found a new show on TV that I really like; it's called Hungry Girl. She not only gives recipes for healthy versions of favorite dishes, but she also gives tips on how to eat in a restaurant or as a guest where you have little or no control over the menu. That program is a perfect complement to my SP program. It comes on the FOOD network at 8:30 a.m., which isn't a convenient time for me, so I set my DVR to record it whenever it's on--that way I don't have to miss a single episode. It's fun to learn new recipes and ideas for healthy eating.
And lastly, it's fun when I exercise--not to feel exhausted and worn out, but to feel like I could push to do just a little more in my routine. That's a first for me--me who has ALWAYS hated exercise. I'm actually fantasizing about being able to race-walk miles again.
Life is fun these days, and I'm enjoying each minute of it. I'm sure there will be bumps along the way, but for now, I am very, very happy. Life is good, and it looks like I'll be around to enjoy it for a long, long time.
