In need of some help on the weekends

Monday, February 04, 2013

I'm sure I'm not the only one... I am so motivated and hard working during the week. I count my points, I exercise (usually twice a day), and I eat VERY healthy. For some reason, as soon as Friday evening comes along, my willpower is gone. It doesn't help that I'm young, so my friends and I (and our men) go out for dinner or drinks. It is SO hard to be strong. I end up blowing a whole week of dieting in a day or two! What can I do to stay strong on the weekend, does anyone have any tips? (please.)

Happy_Travels has some good tips. I'm like you - the weekends are pretty tough for me. However, a friend of mine suggested this: just do really, really well during the week. Eat healthy, get your water in, and exercise a good bit. Once the weekend rolls around, allow yourself to have some fun. If you want a drink, get it. If you want a certain dish, eat it. Do the best you can on the weekend but make sure that during the week, you're putting in 110%.

Another suggestion I have is to eat a small snack (with protein) before going out. This will make you less hungry. Lastly, alternate your drinks. One with alcohol, one cup of water. Good luck!

When I use to go out with friends I use to just order an appetizer like stuff mushrooms for my meal and I would try to avoid alcohol drinks as they are loaded in calories or I would calculate before I went out how many I would be allowed in my daily calorie intake. I know it is hard when it comes to weekends. Try planning activities with your friends that involve an activity. You'll have a great time and you will find that food is less on your mind. I know you can conquer this. emoticon
