Walking the Walk

There are two meanings for that and I am working on acomplishing both of those things. The one is that I am literally going to go back to my original base work out of walking. I am hoping I can keep up with it and I think I can. My goal is to walk 10,ooo steps a day. That seems really easy at first...until you try it. That is 5 miles a day. If you are like me you more than likely thought that you already walk that in a day. I decided to invest in a fitbit zip and find out. I put the fit bit on and on my most active days when I work I only get in about 2-3 miles. I know that seems a low amount, but that is what I came up with. In order to bridge the gap I have decided to walk on the treadmill every night to make up for the steps i didn't take during the day.
With this in mind, I have only gotten up to a 10,000 steps about 3 days this week. I plan on improving wach week ahead. My legs are sore from walking, but I expect that will only get better. Once I have made it to my goal consistency, I will decided if I need to step it up.
Once I make it I will truly be walking the walk!! Talking about it only goes so far!
