I'm so tired! We had a nice weekend (went to my parent's house). They're getting ready to put their house on the market in a few weeks and gave us a bunch of things. Some of it we don't want, but we just did them a favor by getting it out of their house. I'll sell the stuff I don't want. Most of it I do want: some decorations, a few kitchen things, a couple books, and a really nice antique vanity (with a bench).
It was hard work loading all that stuff up, then a 4 hour drive home always tires you out. When we got home, we discovered one of our cats had been stuck in my daughter's bedroom the whole weekend! Poor kitty! He made a mad dash for the food and water. Of course he'd used the bathroom. ALL. OVER. her bed, comforter, sheets, etc. Her mattress was stained. We're re-doing her room this summer and were planning to get her a new mattress then, but we decided to just go ahead and toss this old one now. Luckily we have a guest room she can sleep in for a few days, until we can get to the bed store.
We still hadn't even unloaded the truck by this point! I'd already put the blankets in the laundry, so then we unloaded the whole truck. It snowed while we were gone so it was kind of tricky getting things inside, but we did. I put away a what we're keeping, organized what we're not onto the dining room table, and sat down with a glass of WINE. I needed it! :)
I did more laundry, made us an early dinner, got in an argument with my husband, spent a little more time organizing, talked things out with my husband, and then took a bubble bath....with another glass of wine. I needed that one, too! :)
I did notice that just before I got in my bubble bath, I really wanted juice. We didn't have any juice, but even if we did, I don't think it would have been a big deal to have a sip of OJ.
I'm glad that tomorrow is Monday. (Wait a second...did I just say that?!?!) I'm glad to get back to work, back into my routine, and glad to get back to the gym! I actually did work out while I was away -- I walked around my parent's whole neighborhood. The entire walk is almost 2 miles, where you walk up and down hills, etc...it takes about 30 minutes. I got a nice sweat going. I'm proud of myself that I exercised, even when I was out of town. The nicest part of that was when my husband and daughter both asked to join me on my walk (Of course, I was tickled to have them join me!)
Now I'm just EXHAUSTED. I'm in bed watching a Golden Girls DVD, trying to keep my eyes open. Good night!
